Single-byte characters have the high-bit set to zero. Multi-byte characters have the first character starting with one of the bit patterns 110, 1110 or (for 2-byte, 3-byte or 4-byte characters), with subsequent bytes always starting 10. The continuation characters are always in the range 0x80 .. There are rules that UTF-8 characters must be represented in the minimum possible format. One consequence of these rules is that the bytes 0xC0 and 0xC1 (also 0xF5..0xFF) cannot appear in valid UTF-8 data.

Cornell Engineering’s new website CollabSpace was initially confusing to me because it seemed like a rebranding of instructables. But the more I’ve explored, the more I’ve realized what a unique and collaborative community Cornell is building. The projects on CollabSpace are held to far higher standards than most Maker websites.

Git pull pulls the code from your remote repository and combines it with your local repo. This is particularly useful when working in teams, when many developers are working on the same code base. Full hull-breaching cracks in fiberglass, wooden and thermoform boats is significant damage. In the case of the fiberglass/thermoform boats, I’d suggest checking with a boat marine repair shop for the former, and with the manufacturer for the latter. It’s important on any crack to clean up along its length and make sure the edges align. In some cases, it may be helpful/necessary to insert a thin blade into the crack to expand and expose it’s bonding edge, advancing the opening as you fill/seal the crack from one end to the other.
